The Drug Procurement process

JMHIDPCL follows transparent procurement procedure by an Open tender invitation from reputed manufacturer.Indents for purchase of drugs are sent by the respective Direct Demanding Officers of State. Specifications for the purchase of drugs are prepared by the Expert Committee for EDL (Essential Drug List) and non EDL drugs. Specifications are prepared according to the requirement of hospitals by Expert Committee. After quantifying the indents JMHIDPCL floats on-line tender as per purchase policy of CSPO, purchase policy of Health Department for purchase of Drugs and Equipment’s and decision of Board of Director of JMHIDPCL and advertisement is also published in daily newspapers for the same.

Primary and technical scrutiny of the tender document is done by the technical Committee as per the tender’s General Terms & Conditions. After that agenda is submitted to concerned procurement committee as the case may be. As per the report of Technical Scrutiny, Commercial Bid of all acceptable offers is opened and comparative statement is prepared and L1 Firm is decided and awarded with tender.

Purchase order is given as per total received demand & as per required schedule. Payment against the bill of the particular purchase is done by JMHIDPCL.
